Our gaffs and bait nets are all hand made using Calcutta Bamboo, stainless steel hooks and wire, and nylon seine twine

These gaffs and bait nets are all hand made using Calcutta Bamboo, stainless steel hooks/ wire and nylon seine twine. The use of Calcutta Bamboo is traceable back to the early commercial days of "Lift" or "Jack" polling huge tuna. The wood is extremely durable and is finished with 3 coats of high gloss urethane. Calcutta gaffs are still used today on many boats such as west coast commercial sport boats. Each gaff is hand tied with black nylon seine twine and on some models, decorative Turks heads knots are applied.

The gaffs and bait nets are made to your exact dimensions to eliminate storage problems and meet your individual needs. The shorter sizes are perfect for skiff or kayak fishing where storage space is a premium while the larger sizes easily handle open water fish such as tuna. Hook points choices range from 1/0-4/0. Boat names can be added for a nominal charge.
